tony gonzalez-3-831x1024Anthony David Gonzalez was born 27 February 1976. He is an American football tight end. He played for 17 years in the National Football League. Regarded as one of the most outstanding tight ends of all time Gonzalez is the NFL's all-time leader in receptions and receiving yards by a tight-end, and is ranked third overall in receptions. Gonzalez began his 12 seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs, who picked him in the first round of the 1997 NFL Draft. Additionally, he was a part of the Atlanta Falcons for five of his final seasons. Since retiring in 2013, Gonzalez was an NFL analyst for NFL on Prime Video and was previously employed by CBS Sports and Fox Sports.Gonzalez was a career-high 14 Pro Bowl selections, the most for a tightend and second most in league history, in addition to receiving six All-Pros from the first team. A well-known player for his endurance and his infrequent fumbling, Gonzalez appeared in 270 of 272 regular season games and lost only two fumbles in 1,327 plays. In the year 2019 Gonzalez was admitted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
